Bio:
I grew up in Boise, Idaho and moved to Moscow, Idaho in 2002 to attend engineering school at the University of Idaho. On my spare weekends I love to backpack in the summer and ski in the winter. I have also been rafting a couple of times and would like to get into kayaking. During school I like to watch movies, listen to music, jog, and do engineering HW. I graduated in May 2006 with a degree in Mechanical Engineering. During the summer of 2006 I attended the 4th International Planetary Probe Workshop in Pasadena, California and accepted an internship at NASA Ames Research Center in central California performing work on risk modeling for the thermal protection system of the crew exploration vehicle currently under development by NASA and it's partners. I am currently working on a masters degree in Mechanical Engineering with an emphasis on Fluids/Heat Transfer here at University of Idaho.

Future/Professional Interests:
I am inspired by the thought of exploring space and time to figure out where we came from and where we are going. Space exploration plays an important role by providing technical, political, and physical challenges as a catalyst for human evolution. I would like to obtain a job doing research for NASA and eventually become a leader so that I may help inspire the next generation to continue to explore the unknown. My technical and career interests include:project management/leadership, aerodynamics/fluids, heat transfer, and risk analysis.
