Bio
I lived the first 14 years of my life in Kuna, ID. My family then moved to Bend, OR; with a population of 35,000 I thought we had moved to "the big city." With the mountains 20min drive from town I was able to enjoy all the outdoor activities that I missed out on in the Boise area. (Driving time and money was a big issue for us.) I love to cross country ski and hike. Being able to get away from people and be out in the wilderness is very important to me. I attended University of Washington (aeronautic and astronautic engineering) for two years before transferring here and it drove me crazy that in 2 years I never got a chance to go hiking. I spent this summer down in the San Francisco area working for NASA Ames. I did a little bit of everything from designing rocket engines to setting up wind tunnel tests.

Future
My plans are pretty vauge right now. I'm not sure if I want to get a doctorate or join the workforce after school. If I decide on a doctorate I'll try to go to a school in England, otherwise I'll try to join a small areospace company somewhere.

Education
Major: Mechanical Engineering
Graduation Date: Spring 2010
Class Level: Graduate Student
