C&DH Meeting 1/20/09
Today we got reacquainted with each other and went over what we did last semester
Next we broke back up into our groups from last semester and went over what we needed to update on our schematics and are going to have to complete all the sensors on them and email them to Gabe by Thursday, so we can fabricate the boards.

Critical design reviews
• Talked to Gabe about new tasks.
• Learn programming environment and team lead process - Nick, Kevin
• We needed to redesign the INA2126 circuit in eagle because no sparkfun library on part - Carlos
• Updated the Bill of Materials - Rory

• Went over entire schematic of main and sensor boards and double checked the bill of materials.

• Got Main board back from Greg - Tested the power supply, after some confusion confirmed that everything was ok and sent back to put everything, except through hole hardware to get put onto the board.
• Received the sensor board from PCG and sent to Greg to throw on Analog to Digital converter to test sensor before sending them to get permanently put on.

• Had Sensor board populated
• Tested power supply on leading pins to make sure everything worked correctly
• Solder on through hole components - Carlos
• Continued working on programming environment - Nick

Main board
• Hooked up to sensor board- received error with SPI port communication
○ Possibly header pin issue
○ Gabe figured out later that there was an issue with the SPI port, we were using a connection that was supposed to be a communication port to a slave and shouldn't be used for a master communication fixed in the programming .
Sensor board validation
• Pressure worked fine
• Accelerometer seems dead
○ Will conduct further tests
• All other sensors responded to the environment
○ Will have to do other testing for accuracy

• Went over every sensor and through our checklist to make sure that everything was up and running.
• Made Remove Before Flight Tag to finalize the board and checklist
Class Meeting 4/1/09
• Met in hamshack to go over all equipment
• Made sure everything was compatible with all other teams
• Went over each teams prediction/readiness
○ Structures were unable to get the Kevlar composite shell finished, using another capsule to launch instead
○ Communications was unable to get communications up and running, had nothing to track balloon, cut down system was not working - they were planning on working Friday and Saturday for the launch
○ Science team found camera
○ We integrated to finish the pressure tube placement and GPS location in capsule, which was the last task. Temperature sensors were unresponsive.
Launch Day 4/5/09
• Turned on @ 7:14 AM, Did before the launch to make sure that we received a fix on location from the GPS
• Middle pressure sensor is denoted as the top package pressure
• Left pressure is denoted as the side pressure
• We were not able to recover the package. GPS stopped receiving location from package.
• Also, Communications team launched a separate tracking capsule which will make the accelerometer and gyroscope data useless, also because cut down system did not work so balloon also made sure that this data is useless

§ On sensor board, pressure is too close, move back around
§ On main board- serial port needs to be moved away from standoff hole
§ Fix cable end to sensor board 180. All the way around
§ Debugger needs to be moved away from standoff hole
§ On sensor board, ginger interface needs to be moved away from ribbon connection
