Bio
Hey ya'll…

So I'm an electrical engineering senior, (but not that I'm gunna graduate next spring… hopefully the next…lol). I've been involved with the VAST Comm team since my second semester, spring '07.

A little background about me: I grew up in Western Montana, but then in Jr. High/Highschool my family ended up moving around a little bit. We lived for a year in the Seattle area, then a year in the San Francisco area, but apparently that's all it took for us to get tired of the big city, and we moved up here to North[…notice the capitalization] Idaho.

So how'd I end up at UI? Being from Missoula MT, where the whole town is just fanatically Griz by birth, (with both parents alum), and sworn enemies of the the Vandals? (But don't worry, I've since entirely joined the Dark Side.)
Well, to make a short story long, my somewhat-far-distant goal has been for some time to get into flight school and do bush aviation overseas for missionary organizations. Unfortunately that's a pretty expensive thing to get into, and as the case was, as a national merit scholar I found out I could have about 80% of my expenses paid here at UI. So… (gasp! startling revelation) …my reason for coming to UI was pretty much just a thing of pigmy monetary resources. But it worked out OK, since I'd also love to spend some years working in aerospace design (i.e. sitting in a cubicle doing intensive work subtly disguised as mine-sweeper.)

Some hobbies/recreation: I love fishing, hiking/backpacking, mountain biking. A lot of summers I've worked as a counselor a local Bible Camp. In highschool I designed a lot of model rockets. This last last summer I interned for Unitech, an aerospace subcontractor in Coeur d'Alene.
