Sean Wagoner

Bio:
I am currently a 6th semester Computer Engineering student. I was born in Richland, WA and raised in Idaho Falls. For those of you who are interested, Idaho Falls is a large town in southeastern Idaho. It is in the top 5 most populated Idaho cities with an impressive (Ha!) population of 57,133 people. While pleasant, and superbly boring, I was quite content to leave Idaho Falls to attend the University of Idaho in the only liberal (if only slightly[sadly]) town in Idaho, Moscow. Here, I slave away at, as mentioned somewhat higher, a Computer Engineering degree. This means I get to do most of the fun things an Electrical Engineering student, with the added bonus of learning how computers work at the software level. Overall, an enjoyable way to go through college.

If you must know, my current activities include homework, tests, and occasionally working myself to death. My actual interests include, but are not limited to; learning about fascinating (e.g. technology, science) stuff, skiing if there happens to be snow, reading science fiction, hiking, and the occasional video game. I am also beginning to dabble in photography, video game programming, and amateur ham and electronics. There are also things I want to begin to learn, such as scuba diving, rock climbing, and even skydiving.

Future Interests:
After I complete my Computer Engineering curriculum, I hope to study abroad for about a year. The destination does not matter, just seeing the world would be fulfilling. I would love to go to Eastern Europe, East Asia, the United Kingdom, Iceland, or Northern Europe. Wherever I don't visit would just be pushed back until I have some extra vacation. After studying abroad, I hope to go into graduate school. As of now, I have settled on trying to get a Masters in Robotics, but I will see how likely that is after I graduate. I also hope to continue on and get my PHD. After I get to call myself a doctor, I am not sure quite what I want to do. I know I want to continue learning, and it is towards that end I would get my PHD, but what type of job fosters creativity, intelligence, and a continual learning process. Hopefully, I will find these answers before I get my PHD.
